Unique in Italy for its organic unity and its completeness, this concerts parade, played by the Tuscan Romagna Musica Accademy directed by Ezio Monti, offers classical music exploring the relationship between Man and Nature.
On July and August, in Sarsina – birthpalce of Tito Maccio Plautus – there is the important Plautus’ Theatre Festival.
The tuscan tradition relives during I giorni del Capitano. The Capitano, chosen in Florence among the members of the most influential tuscan families, every year arrived in Bagno to administer this peripheral border land. He took possession of the Palazzo del Capitano, centre and symbol of power.
Bagno di Romagna, celebrates this events with over 200 medieval costumed figures parading through the historical centre of town.
Archery games, other challenges among the town wards and conferences inside the Palazzo del Capitano and concerts.
Local restaurants suggest dishes based on ancient recipes.
The event takes place on the last week-end of July.
