AIL

Scuola Palazzo Malvisi – Bagno di Romagna is founding Memeber of AIL
(Accademia Italiana di Lingua) and is an official examination centre for the AIL exams.

The Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL) is the professional association of schools, institutions and experts in the field of teaching Italian as a foreign language. The association’s main office is located in Florence, Italy.

The AIL initiated the first diploma of modern Italian which effectively tests the language abilities of the candidates.
The AIL organizes preparation courses for every level in all of their exam centers.

AIL Certificates

AIL offers the following exams:

  • DELI – A2
    The Diploma of the Italian Language “Firenze” AIL, basic level, offered four times a year.
    Suggested preparation time: 100-120 hours.
  • DILI – B1
    The Diploma of the Italian Language “Firenze” AIL, intermediate level, offered four times a year.
    Suggested preparation time: 240-300 hours.
  • DILC – B1
    The Business Diploma of the Italian Language “Firenze” AIL, intermediate level, offered four times a year.
    Suggested preparation time: 280-340 hours.
  • DILI – B2
    The Diploma of the Italian Language “Firenze” AIL, intermediate level II, offered four times a year.
    Suggested preparation time: 320-400 hours.
  • DALI – C1
    The Diploma of the Italian Language “Firenze” AIL, advanced level, offered four times a year.
    Suggested preparation time: 450-500 hours.
  • DALC – C1
    The Business Diploma of the Italian Language “Firenze” AIL, advanced level, offered four times a year.
    Suggested preparation time: 500-550 hours, including 80 hours of business Italian.

Diploma examinations “Firenze” in written and spoken Italian for the various ability levels are held two or four times a year in exam centers worldwide. The exams are one of a kind and the correction of the written portions as well as the final evaluation are carried our in the main Florence office in order to guarantee a uniform evaluation.
